Forces of Earthrealm stopped Shao Kahn’s invasion and defeated the fallen elder god Shinnok. Unfortunately, this doesn’t mean that our world is safe. This time, however, a new generation of warriors will help the Mortal Kombat veterans. As a result, in the game, you’ll meet your favorite fighters, including Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Raiden, Sonya, Johnny Cage, and Kenshi, as well as newcomers, such as Johnny and Sonya’s daughter Cassie Cage, the new emperor of Outworld Kotal Kahn, and insect-like D’Vorah. Furthermore, each character comes in three different variations, so you can choose the one that fits you best.
You’ll meet all the Mortal Kombat X characters in an exciting and compelling Story Mode that is a perfect way to learn the basics and get a taste of the fighting styles of different characters. You can also master your skills in many Towers and test them fighting other players in Multiplayer.
One of the keys to Mortal Kombat’s popularity was finishing moves. In Mortal Kombat XL, every character can perform at least two Fatalities and a Stage Fatality. Moreover, the game introduces a new finisher called Brutality that is automatically performed if you’ll meet specific requirements.
